They don't make the makeup then just change the thread title to the new date. They don't even bother to change the date listed on the first post of the thread.

What a joke.

No acknowledgement of their own mistake, no apology, just ignoring everyone. Wonder why the majority of people here know SBR poker is a joke. Same tired contests beat into the ground, shody software that can't make it a week without crashing. Then can't even make a simple make up tournament and refuse to acknowledge they forgot about it.

Say "Oh shit, sorry forgot to set it up. The make up will really be this Saturday, unless we forget again."

And it's courteous to acknowledge you made a mistake. The whole "it's free" argument doesn't make up for ignoring members, not following through with what was said, and then just changing titles around instead of admitting the mistake.

"its free" is fitting when you lose your 90/10 fav hand 40 times in a row. Ignoring members in a contest they're running doesn't fit that.

I'm sure it wouldn't fly if one of their big contests, like Beat the Prick, had half the games not count then they just ignored it and swept it under the rug. That would never happen, their other contests should get the same treatment. Especially when it only requires 15 seconds to admit fault.

hey bro ive been screwed multiple times by 90/10 hands on here as well, just saying its a free contest and software they provide for us , theyre already being courteous doing that itself... it sucks but its the truth i dont expect anything to change when its a free program ill just accept the way it is and move on, since getting mad will probably do nothing in the end

hopefully they come through with the redo tourney and everybody is happy

either way i agree with everything said everybody will always complain for things to be better in the end though so i just live with it , its "basically" free so i dont expect amazing software and top notch technology , but it looks like astro just wants an apology from SBR brass for the flopped makeup tournament

You can only renew with 3000 points if you've already been pro before by depositing/donating at least $100. I think it was $200 back when. Either way still good. I'm not upset......unless I miss qualifying by 10 points and I coulda EB'd that makeup baby!

Yeah, not even an apology just an "oops" or some type of acknowledgement instead of changing the title of the makeup tourney thread to this Saturday and saying nothing about it.. Something that would take 5 seconds for the 100+ people who play poker here daily.

I didn't bitch about the tourney going down or the makeup tournament not being there, shit happens and I get that. It's free poker and I've more than got my money's worth from the original $100 I put on 5dimes (or maybe it was Las Palmas(!)) to go pro.

Taking the issues with a grain of salt for it being free/low cost is reasonable, but so is asking for and expecting the offered service to be handled better. "Free" is a weird situation, and in certain circumstances (which apply here) people have higher expectations of "free" than "cheap".

Nobody wants poker to go away, but technical issues and (far more importantly) communication have been a weak point for a long time. A fair bit of the grumbling comes not from hard limitations of software/technology, but handling of situations we know could be handled better.

yup it sucks big time, doesnt make sense to me how theres no gift cards in canadian store?? we basically have all the same food franchises as the states.....

probably not allowed to do that transaction though , and most states gift cards dont even work in canada tbh
