Dollar's 2017 MLB Wagers

Ok, here we go again....some background for everyone;

In 2013 I was coming off of a spectacular year in the NHL and NBA (all kept in one thread) and MLB season started. Unfortunately, the start to that season was so poor, not only did I stop betting MLB, I stop keeping a thread. MLB is my sport, baseball is what I played and it's what I know best. I was a little embarrassed, but even more, my confidence in my abilities to cap baseball took a real shot.

What happened? I didn't bet MLB for close to four years. I win in the NHL and NBA, so I told myself that the summer would be a break for me and it has....but this season I have decided to get back into the 'swing' of things. It's been one hell of a start and I can only attribute it to one thing....I am putting in the work again.

I will be posting all picks before game time, no live betting in this thread and I will keep running tabs on all action. All bets will be made on 5dimes and Pinny. Anyone that knows me, knows that I like action and a lot of plays...that will likely not change in this thread.

It's funny what happens when one stops posting a thread. I took a couple of breaks and those breaks were long enough that the momentum went away.

In other news, Stephen Wright and Fulmer in Detroit are both vying for the Cy Young today. Today should be the day that MLB offenses really start to open up in some games....lets get the next one

Sorry, what does being a pro mean? I was pro for two years and didn't take advantage of it at all.

If any any of you think it is about charity, or the fact that I don't want to donate to charity....I am in Canada and don't have that option. I donated $100 USD to Angelman 3 weeks ago (can be verified if somebody doesn't believe me). I have never used the points for anything, even though I have had more than 20,000 a few times and over 30,000 once....I generally just blow them off in the casino if I have them. My 5dimes account was signed up for through SBR and that's where I make the majority of my wagers, so they have some skin in my game.

I have been POTM at SBR three times, I was SBR Rookie of the Year and SBR Handicapper of the Year (in separate years), I have posted many winning wagers and threads and anytime anyone wants verification of those bets I post screen shots. I have never been caught BS'ing, messing around or lying.

If not being a pro really means something....let me know. I may sign up up a new book at some point, and if I do I would go through SBR and requalify for Pro status. If I want to go to the Bash at some point, I will clearly become a Pro. When I want to donate to a charity I will do so, on my own.

You tell me....does being Pro change anything for me?

Funny turn of events in the Nats game when Trea Turner couldn't make the turn for home on a base hit. That cost the Nats at least one run....and then the Phils come out and hang a crooked number on the board.

I know now they are way back, but Nola is going to give up some runs tonight....it isn't over yet.

Getting Scared

Last Sunday I posted a screen shot of a 13-1 day....then Thursday I posted a screenshot of a 12-1 day. Yesterday I went 10-4....

Today I am sitting at 9-0-1.

When this ends....how bad is it going to get???? Honestly...this has been one hell of a week.

A solid day. The one loss was 12-0 after the first inning, so kind of nice that we weren't sweating that one. Everything else went well, most of the wins were solid wins, without too many close calls. Favourite call of the day was the KC win in Houston. 7-3 final and it paid +183. I saw Houston as a lot of people's 'lock' today.

Ok all, a great couple of days to start and a large card for today (no surprise!).

I absolutely love the Rockies to sweep today and frankly, I just cannot see the Blue Jays beating the Rays. The Jays are anxious to get home and hope that the familiarity of Rogers Centre will wake up their bats (it won't).
