Golden Gate Fields tried a woman announcer for horse races last year for several months. It was pretty bad. Some glass ceilings are there for a reason.

Not all women announcers are awful, it's Jessica's voice that is annoying.
I respect her for her efforts playing for the National team and professionally (fast pitch softball)
No doubt she knows her shit, but it's difficult getting past that voice.

Doris Burke is another, she was all Big East at Providence in hoops, but her voice.......

Erin Andrews is just flat out annoying.
There's a few good ones, but most are annoying.

p.s. Joe Morgan sucked balls, hardly the worlds greatest.
Give me Jim Kaat any day as my analyst, Kitty-Kaat would tell me something I didn't know on a daily basis.
McCarver would be an all time great if he wasn't such a gas bag.

Idk I kind of like her. First off, it's not an easy job dude, baseball is a slow game, you have to do a lot of filler conversation and that shit takes practice and experience. She does an above average job in my opinion.

The guys who do the Astro games on Root Sports Houston are brutal.
Thorne on MASN is great on Oriole games, he's a great hockey guy too, Gary Cohen might be the best in the business right now, but I want to choke the air out of Keith Hernandez and his buddy Ron Darling too, and don't the two of them sound almost identical.

Michael Kay is brutal, John Sterling is a gasbag but at least he can be amusing.
The Red Sox booth is pretty good, the Diamondback booth is just goofy.

I like Brenley. He's clueless on pop culture. Berthume was going on and on during a long at bat in a blowout game about Game of Thrones and Brenley had no idea. It was amusing.

With that said, there are many announcers that do a much better job.
