Those were not normal basketball plays. You have to intentionally do those with the purpose of losing or covering a spread. Anybody who wants to win would never do either of those things. People who want to believe this sport is clean refuse to believe it, but there's so much $$$ tied up into March Madness that it's no doubt true.

If the kid thought they had a foul to give you absolutely foul. And it wasn't a 35 ft shot for christ's sake, exaggerate much? Fuk'n professionals make boneheaded plays all the time, in games that don't mean shit. Most of these kids have never been in a high pressure situation such as this. This. The "fixers" are gonna allow him to score 20 in the second half after he has been paid with no repercussions? And if he wanted a fix, he already had it. they were up one and the spread was -2

Yea. Fouling like that was so much easier than just missing a few shots down the stretch when they were down double digits. Sharp Robbie.....instead of him missing more free throws (fisher-Davis went 4 of 5 in last 2:40 and had a defensive rebound with 53 seconds left that led to points.) it's easier to make a very public error. Plus northwestern likely holds for last shot so northwestern will cover that game without help 99% of the time.

Vandy was getting run out of the gym, and if it wasn't for Fisher-Davis, they never ever would have been remotely in this game. If your in on a fix, there 's no way you fight your a$$ to put your team in position to win. Just a mental lapse by an 18 year old kid.

You have to in order make it look less obvious. He did a good job of concealing his real motives until that last foul, which he felt pressured to commit because someone not in on the fix had put Vandy up by 1.

With 12.6 seconds left northwestern had ball down 1 catching 2.5 or 3 ats. What % of time does a team in northwesterns position there NOT cover the game. They had 1 timeout. For vandy to cover NW has to shoot with about 5 seconds left on clock (timeout then inbounds then running set play runs 7 seconds easy). Then vandy needs to get that rebound (not bounce around, not be a scramble that runs out clock), then vandy gets fouled and still has to make both free throws with almost no time on clock. There is a shot but it's not large. Northwestern hits shot, they cover. They wait to take shot at last second, they cover, northwesterns set play isn't there and they improv and take later shot, vandy misses EITHER FREE THROW, they cover.

It just doesn't happen that often.

Might have been fixed if Vandy was leading for 38 out of 40 minutes with a 10 point lead in the 2nd half and it ended that way...Kid had the lead for 10 seconds....lol
