Not for nothing but i used to deal double deck blackjack after work everyday to the guys and girls i bartended w in college. Just small plays - would play for tip out money and all that. Every game one seat was hot. Never same seat but while I (dealer) would be up most nights, one seat every night would win 80% of the hands. And this is with guys doubling on 13 and splitting 4s and all kinds of crazy shit. Didn't matter. So I'm a believer that a seat can be hot.Comment -

As an engineer, I believe in the power of numbers and probability, so I don't care what someone does before or after me. Cards are cards. I always like to sit at first base though so not to catch bullshit from a horrible player doing stupid shit.. BUT,
I am a firm believer in good luck and bad luck. There's certain tables and dealers that I am certain are bad luck for me. I can't win with certain dealers for nothing. They come to the table and I am fukked. Then there's other dealers that I always win with. I don't try to explain it, I just go with the flow.
I was sitting at a table where a guy came up and asked me if I wanted 1st base or 2nd (I was kinda sitting in both spots). I told him I wanted 1st base and would you believe that he did not lose a single hand in 3 consecutive shoes of an 8 deck. He was playing $10 a hand and could not lose. He was up like $400, all giddy and I said to him, dude you haven't lost since you sat down, press your damn bet. He followed my advice, as I kept telling him to add 10 more, add 50, double up, etc. The second half of the third shoe he made $2k. He left the table damn near in tears he was so excited. He did not lose a damn hand. The guy hugged me and tried to fkn kiss me when he left. Another guy jumped in his seat when he left and couldn't win jack shit.
Another time, I was losing my ass at a table. Guy sits down and was doing the most stupid shit I've ever seen in my life. He was doubling down on all 12's (WTF was he use to playing 22 in LA??), guy would hit 17, split 6's into dealers 10. I was like, "no, don't do that", "please don't double" and the guy was hitting every damn thing. We could not lose. He would stay on like a soft 17 and the dealer would break. It was like he could see the cards. I tried to instruct him but realized real soon to shut my damn mouth as I was losing my ass playing "Smart". That guy brought so much luck to that table. Several more people sat down and they tried to tell him "what to do". I had to tell them to let him do his thing and we all won. Incredible.
My 2 thoughts in the casino are... "I rather be lucky than good" and "I rather be wrong and rich than right and broke". lolComment -
I was like 20 years old... many moons ago playing at Windsor Caesars (Canada).... and it was around 1AM.... this black old man kept telling the pit boss... "This kid is fukking up the deck... he stands WHEN HE'S SUPPOSED TO HIT!!!"

We almost went at it. Pit boss had to calm the black dude down.

May not be same thing, I was at charokee before they got live cards. 5-man table with a dealer that gave chips but it was a elctronic BJ table. $5 min and $50 max. Lost $200 and got last $20 out of ATM and got hot as fire and ran them up to $3500. And I lost a lot before I stopped at that $3500 cashout. Had the dealer and put guys starting at me constantly like I was doing something. LolComment -

I had to pull a douche right off his chair at a local indian casino because he didn't like how the ladies in the seats in front of him were playing and he was losing his ass. He started making comments and getting beligerant, one of those ladies was my wife. I got my shots in and got booted but is was so worth it. No hot seats. I did get a fist bump from the dealer who was also growing tired of this guys antics. $3 table on top of it.Comment -
