    What really matters and much more accurate than committee rankings

    1. Alabama Crimson Tide: 12-0
    2. Ohio State Buckeyes: 11-1
    3. USC Trojans: 9-3
    4. Washington Huskies: 11-1
    5. Clemson Tigers: 11-1
    6. Michigan Wolverines: 10-2
    7. Wisconsin Badgers: 10-2
    8. Penn State Nittany Lions: 10-2

    Obviously anybody can argue all day on this stuff... the only thing that sticks out to me is that Michigan should be #2 or #3 with Ohio St.

    Yes Michigan lost, but they dominated most of the game. I think there is a drop off from Mich & OSU to whatever (Wash USC Clemson)

    No Florida St? Noles would be favored on neutral field over 3-8 except maybe clemson

    That being said... I think vegas bookmakers should be the committee. They know the best four teams far better than a collection of clowns

    is that the criteria though? the 4 "best teams"? what if USC had lost 1st 5 games and then been dominant thereafter?.

    surely there's some season achievement aspect to this too.

    How the hell does a book still have USC with the 3rd best odds to win championship? Lol. They're done, 3 losses. There's like 5 or 6 teams that would get in before USC.

    my interpretation was that those are power ratings............ vegas thinks USC is the 3rd best team in the country (right now) and without alot of thought i'd say they may be right............. the playoffs are based on season achievement i believe. very different.
