Talked to family that said that only reason charlie isn't fired is because herman wouldn't commit. He said he would do interview. Little known fact is before he took the ohio st. job urban was asked by u.c. to interview there. He was a grad asst. at u.c. and he said NO. Herman was a grad asst. at U.t..I think he takes the lsu job. Texas has always treated major applewhite like shit. If herman goes to lsu than i would love to see major come home as either the o.c under strong or maybe even head coach.Comment -
Strong is gone. I said three years ago that he was a terrible hire and I was proven correct. His "my way or the highway" attitude is not conducive to being a head coach. He is a good DC, and that is what he should stick to, unless he wants to try and get a job at one of the Mickey Mouse HC Jobs in the AAC, or MAC.Comment -

He pissed off the high school coaches in texas. You reap what you sow. Maybe if he would of shown them respect than he could of got a top qb.. As a uc fan ;i would love for them to fire tubberville and hire him. He had some success on that level. You maybe right that uc is destined to never make big time.Comment -

His teams were poorly coached but he did not get a fair shake. Had to take over a bust of a program after Brown let it go to waste. Did not even have a Div I QB until this year. Has a ton of sophs playing and a freshman QB. He deserved one more year but they aren't rationale in Texas. He did not get to play with his own upperclassmen. But he will get $5 million of stupid boosters money to ease the pain.
Herman set up to look like a genius with this roster next year. The whole defense is sophs. Job will be a whole lot easier without having to get your ass kicked by Briles.Comment -
