Lester doesn't even step off though. Guys were halfway down the line during his last start. You could walk to 2nd. What are you risking when you're halfway to 2nd?

If they were down 1 run.....possibly 2 I'm sure they'd be running. But not much to gain when down 3, but ALOT to lose.

Wrong Sir! When your down 3, your not trying to manufacturer a run....that's what you do when ahead, tied or down 1 run.
When your down 3 in the late innings, it's base to base, with or without Lester on the mound.
