I am leaning toward taking the points with TB. Carolina is missing their secret weapon on offense (Cam), and they have lost their secret weapon on defense (Josh), and that has been clear all season. It is hard to think a team that looked so good last year can be so mediocre a season later. But the loss of truly special athletes do just that.

This game opened -4.5 and now at -5.5... I will likely hold for the public money to drive it to 6

. When they lost to the Denver Broncos and realized, mentally they can't beat them. It Really messed up their pyscology. The Only goal for themselves is to win the Superbowl and they at this point do not feel like they can beat them. But, saying that.. They will play their hardest tonight to save their season. With Atlanta sitting at 4-1, the loser in this game faces a huge uphill climb. Both of these jokes are 1-3 now. With the remaining schedules that these two teams have, it is going to be very difficult to makeup a three game deficit with 11 to play, which is what the loser is staring in the face. To make matters worse, both of these teams are 1-3 ATS. Another game for all of the suckers to wager on. Pass.

Carolina is missing three starters on offense: QB Cam Newton, RB Jonathan Stewart and OT Michael Oher. They may have trouble scoring with the injuries. I'm taking the points with Tampa Bay.

What's with all the Tampa love? Should have been an improved team but I'm not seeing much of that. They're getting absolutely thumped half the time. Carolina is at least competing and still a pretty good team that lost to Minny (best team in the league right now), Atlanta (an actually much improved team) and Denver. They gave the game away in Denver even. Cam or no Cam, Tampa should beat themselves comfortably if Winston throws his usual picks.
