It depends on the hurricane damage. The whole state of Florida will be in shambles when this hurricane is done. 140 mph winds will wipe out a lot of structures.

I am worried about GA/SC. No way they will play in Columbia.

If they move the GA/FL game up, that would force the venue to host (GA/FL and Jacksonville/Oakland in a span of around 24 hours.

Florida St. has a bye on the 22nd but I doubt Florida will go for that idea.

I live in west palm beach and its barely raining. the eye is like 75 miles off shore and were just getting tropical storm winds and light rain. this hurricane has been more hyped than the florida seminoles. how can this be?

Would SEC consider moving Championship Game back one week to December 10th? Short of that, I don't see how game can be made up, you cannot blame LSU for not wanting to give up home breather vs. USA that is currently a sandwich game between road games at Arkansas and Texas A&M. Plus if they were to switch out, it would mean closing with three straight road games with short rest between the last two as the finale at A&M is on Thanksgiving.

Incentive to push SEC Championship to the 10th is that they could then play it at night in prime time and thus not play at the same time as Army-Navy.

That part of is should not be an issue with bowls starting the following Saturday, but SEC actually moving the game may be just a pipe-dream.

wait until the polar ice cap melts and the whole state will be underwater. then you'd have something to over react to instead of this slightly above average tropical storm. that's all it is in florida anyway.

Now, I'm getting reports from my weather people and they are saying that hurricane is staying far east of the coast and the outer bands are barely grazing the coast line. It looks like the system is falling apart and not very organized. It will be most likely down to a cat 1 by the time it hit the Carolina's and the loop should not be a problem.

I supply people for FEMA and the Red Cross. Usually case workers and Data Analyst that have to be on the ground. Most people that work for FEMA came through me. Years ago, I also put together most of the TSA workers in the Airports. I also provide workers in the oil field, onshore and offshore.

The weather people do not report to me but they tell me if things are going to be bad and whether they will need more support people. The support people basically track people effected and displaced mainly to determine how much federal funds may have to be distributed. I don't do nothing with rescues but I hear from the people what they went through in order to document a claim, many are very heartbreaking stories. After 16 years of hearing thousands of horror stories, I am overly cautious to the weather. Most people NEVER, EVER think it's going to happen to them.

I don't give a shit if you believe me or not. It won't put a dime in my pocket... But, when you tell people to not worry about a hurricane, not only do you put them in harms way but you end up costing everyone money. If people are laissez faire and they don't give a shit, like you do, then it cost money when you have to pick up the pieces, especially if you have to bury them. An event like this just magnifies in people's mind that they can bunker down and be okay until the next event hits.
