    Santa Fe Station

    I was there tonight.

They fixed it up a little bit, looks nicer.
    new carpet
    new flat screens
    new seating
new big board, and they moved it to the middle, which is better

I hadn't been there in a while, but it looks pretty good to go for watching sports/horses.

I won't make it out for NFL this Sunday, but probably the next Sunday.
However, it does get crowded for NFL, hard to find a seat.

I do qualify for VIP seating, which will be worth it.
They said $3000 on sports a day or $300 on horses a day.
I qualify through horses, so they said I can make a free reservation and get seats.

I forgot to ask about drinks, though.
But they're free when you bet horses, and they have dollar hot dogs.
I guess it will be worth it, IDK.

Yeah, bullish on Santa Fe Station, all the remodels look nice. You can have some real fun there. I live too far away, or I'd check it out more.

One of the most fun times I had with a girl was at Texas Station of all places. Everything they offered, we pretty much tried to do -- movie, bingo, gamble, Austin's Steakhouse, then just got a room there for $39.

No reason to shit on places like that, as long as the crowds aren't all ratchety, which out there they usually aren't.

you have to bet 300.00 worth of horses to qualify for the 1.00 hot dog and free drinks. but most there for football probably betting a 10.00 parlay card so i can see why they won't dole out the free drinks for them. otherwise they would be swamped with transients.

I should be clear- you get those when you bet horses, whenever you want.

The VIP is compelling because during NFL Sundays, everybody gets extremely packed.
You lose your seat when you get up to make a bet kind of thing. That's annoying.

The VIP thing will give me guaranteed seat with a flat screen with a waitress that will come by.
That's very good, considering how busy they get on NFL Sundays, that s all.
Especially for someone like me who likes to bet horses.

All stations have $1 hot dogs during football, for everybody.

    Santa Fe filled with ratchets.
Not as bad as I have seen it in the past.
Couldn't hear the commentators due to excessive rachetness

I don't know of one sportsbook that doesn't have those kinds of people around when a major NFL game is on. I'll go to a nearby casino bar instead with the game on. I can't be in the book.
