How am I saying the opposite, they are two different things. I have losing record on game with extreme BTCL of 30+. But I am still in good shape because I limited the damage by getting those great lines (i.e., lost less), and I was over +100 units last year on games where I beat closers by < 30.

NOT first 3 months, but FULL season more important then recency unless there is a reason for change in form. No Coin keeps talking about injury, which may very well be true, but I never assume an injury without one being reported. Quite the contrary, I assume all is well as long as teams keep sending pitcher out every five days.

Being rigid and unwilling to change betting styles/patterns is not a recipe for success, especially in today's market, which is saturated with information like never before.

Think of the resources the average gambler has at their finger tips today vs., say, 10-15 years ago. Do you honestly think the books haven't recognized that and been forced to adjust accordingly, rendering concepts like BTCL and RLM irrelevant?

In other words, a better line is a better line no matter what. And RLM will always be an indication of sharp money, and a case can be made that it is actually MORE relevant in a sharper market.

I'm not going to dispute the idea that BTCL is profitable from a "losing less" standpoint. That's about the only point I'll concede on it these days, though. "Losing less" doesn't = winning more.
