Sad day. One of the greatest to ever play. Who cares if he did steroids. At least he admitted to it. I don't get why everyone bashes him.

Players on the juice perform better and make for a more entertaining game. Let them juice all they want.

Biggest POS in sports! Tons of 'Roids, PEDS, and that cocky, defiant attitude while he denied it for years - A complete jackass! Of all the crap this putz has pulled over the years his most embarrassing might be his exploits on the day his first daughter was born, call it a "doubleheader". He passed out during the birth (way to "man-up" Aroid), then instead of spending time with his wife and newborn, he sneaks out and bangs Madonna, who was old enough to be his Grandma! Yea, a real class act who will NOT be missed...

Then let the pitchers juice and throw 142 mph.

Steroids should be mandatory in all pro sports. Anybody not taking them should be banned for life. They make the athletes better and games more exciting.

He gets bashed mainly for his arrogance.
I used to watch him bat.
I was at the game upstairs behind home plate 11 years ago when he took Colon deep three times, drove in 10.
Most remarkable hitting display I have ever seen in one game by one player in my life.
No joke, I have seen Boggs so locked in one game when he went 5 for 5, A-Rod was on another planet.

Never in my life had I seen a hitter so locked, loaded and focused in my life time.
Right before A-Rod hit his granny in the fourth inning he fouled back a pitch straight back like a rocket.
I told my buddy "if fatty Colon comes back with that same pitch, A-Rod is going to bash it", my buddy was like I hear you.
His only out was a blast to the warning track.

Here's the link, watch the grand slam he hits to the black of the stadium, ball was crushed.

A-Rod made Colon his bitch that night.

I'm a huge Yankee fan and have seen him play many times myself. I remember that 10 RBI game also.Guy maybe a jerkoff but still one of the greatest ever. I remember his first at bat in 2009 after he admitted steroid use he hit a 3 run home run. I will miss him play.

Nah, Girardi hasn't played him in 2 weeks, and pretty much told him you ain't gonna see the light of day again.

Hal told him quit now, and I'll give you a gig as an adviser/coach.

So in 2017 he's going to be working with the minor league infielders.

Well the ALCS and ALDS, he was ordinary against the Phillies, but it didn't matter that team wasn't going to lose to Philly,
Philly didn't even deserve to be in the post season.

That is strange now that I think of it. Why not just retire at the end of the year and hit 4 more. Maybe he did get busted again.

He'll be remembered for wearing a denim button down with a baseball themed tie on draft day.

I thought he was signed through 2017? are they just paying him out his last $20+ million to stop playing?

It's actually kind of humiliating to tell a player your final game is just past mid-season.

Shows you what NY really thinks of him. Basically saying... go fuk yourself.

Only difference is no one wants to shoot the dog.
