    No punishment. He should be rewarded for being a man about it and apologizing and giving the guy a ball. The fan should be banned from the stadium for stopping him from catching the ball.

    He should have to take the fan an his entire family out to dinner & drinks, on him. Then tour the dugout & stadium, and sign all kinds of memorabilia and give it to them for free. THAT WOULD BE SUFFICIENT.
