the 10th is columbus day (government jobs off work) probably a main reason you got one on a sunday

They had to get colleges because universities usually will pay to host the events. Where as an arena wants to make money. Just what I heard and it could be wrong.

You are at a sports gambling forum. I can't imagine you are even considering watching a debate over an NFL game.

Even if there was no NFL game I would watch reruns of The Dukes of Hazard over debates.

Debates are meaningless. They do not provide any useful information to a voter. If you are a Republican and your candidate flops at the debate you are not going to vote Democrat and vice versa.

A quick look at the 2012 debate schedule shows they had two
on a Wednesday and Tuesday.

Make no mistake, this change was intentional to favor Mrs. Blythe.

All it takes is a few operatives on the committee to ram it through.

If we can get some debate props, watching the games will be unnecessary !

Not sure why Sept. 26th couldn't have been 27th or 28th. Oct. 9th unavoidable though. After Columbus Day it's Yom Kippur.

But both parties negotiated and agreed to these dates a year ago. Why is this an issue now?

I love all the people who think that Trump is trying to find a way to get out of the debates. The guy does several debates against different combinations of 16 other candidates (That were not held on Saturday nights by the way). He does press conference after press conference, but he's afraid to debate Hillary? Yeah, whatever.

An NFL spokesperson denied that league officials sent Trump a letter, "While we'd obviously wish the debate commission could find another night, we did not send a letter to Trump."
