It is “July Madness” on BattleBots as the top 32 robots started the lose-and-you’re-out tournament bracket rounds. Many fans had their brackets busted in the first round as the number three seeded Witch Doctor got absolutely destroyed by the number 30 seeded Red Devil. Witch Doctor came out firing, literally, with it’s sidekick robot, Shaman, which shot green fire but was otherwise useless. Red Devil quickly got Witch Doctor locked up in its giant claws and started cutting into the heavily-favored robot with it’s circular saw. By the time Red Devil had to release the 3rd seeded robot, Witch Doctor was starting to smoke pretty bad. While the good doctor tried to keep the fight alive, the underdog was able to inflict more damage and eventually flip it over. While Witch Doctor helplessly laid upside down on the ground, like a struggling turtle, with a chemical fog pouring out of it’s side, Red Devil started it’s victory lap around the ring. And just like that, brackets were busted with one of the biggest upsets in BattleBots history.
