I don't think they've ever really liked each other off the court. OKC hit it big in the draft but lost the nucleus. It started with Reggie Jackson, then Harden, now Ibaka and Durant. Westbrook is most likely out of there shortly.

I'm probably in the minority but this is worse then James leaving Cleveland.

His team chokes the series away and then he joins the team they lost too.

Presti has surrounded him with talent, Cleveland was a bad basketball situation when LeBron left.
Exactly. OKC had the talent to win it all but Durant couldn't close out a 3-1 lead and totally choked in game 6.

To goto the team you choked against is worse than anything Lebron did.

OKC had Warriors beaten. FLAT. series was over.

                    Durant quit. totally wussed out.

i remember in Game 7 vs. Warriors. Durant only took 10 SHOTS after 3 Qtrs of play.
then went crazy in the 4th when the game was out of reach.

he totally hung Westbrook out there to dry. Westbrook had to do everything.

KD is a born loser, will not win in GS. He makes that team worse. Honestly, GS was probably the only team he could've went to and actually made worse. Had he went to any other team, he would've made them better, not GS. They play a team game, he's a 1on1 player, even when Billy D tried to get them to move the ball more, every time it hit his hands, the flow died.

If Westbrook stays, Presti will rebuild OKC to be a championship contender. If Westbrook leaves, they're starting over.

not to mention the signing of oladipo should of made him want to come back if he thought they werent good enough.

Lets tell the truth. Hell you can just look at him and tell he isn't mentally that smart and just very good at basketball.

Lebron has enough money. He should sign for the minimum and then sign a top free agent

Why does someone worth lets say 100 mill, need to be worth 110 mill.

Just wait folks. it's going to get worse.

I don't blame em, they're just taking the rich white mans money. They're building empires and redistributing money to the black communities. I would suck up every penny I could, and they're doing it too.

But doesn't KD lose money by going to GS? I thought OKC could've offered him more, no?

Yes. He would have made the most in OKC.

He is doing this so he can be a role player on a championship team. It's a pussy move IMO

remember when charles barkley could of signed with Bulls?

He was like, why would i do that, it would be like a guaranteed championship. They can win it without me plus adding me, it wouldn't even be fun.

I now know why for sure some players just play for stats. Some give up hopes of winning a championship.

Will you remember lets say lebron for winning one in miami or cleveland ten years from now. Thats right , you will think Cleveland.

If your supposed to win and you win, who cares.

packerd, teams are different nowadays. teammates actually had each others backs in the old days. i don't think they hung out laughing and smiling after the games back then. teams actually battled and hated each other. this day and age, everyone hangouts in the off season jerking off each other.

that's why i don't care what anyone says, nba was the best in the 80's and 90's. you could actually be a fan of a team. now it's all business and how many championships you can buy.

Yeah, and at some point in time I also remember people criticizing guys like shaq for going after the money and leaving teams that had a chance at a championship. No matter what a star player does there is always going to be a segment of the fans/population that will find fault with anything they do.

back in the day, 'If a guy wants to get paid, hes only in it for the money.'
now it is 'If a guy wants to win rings, hes a coward.'

Regardless, GayD could have just signed a one year deal with an option and went for it next season.

If Durant would have came back for one more year and failed again, I could of totally lived with it....but to give up when your team was so close makes no sense especially when he went to the team he choked against.

He would have made more money staying in OKC for one more year too.

KD is literally the new LeBron. Went from being so loved to being hated now. The Warriors are now the Miami Heat 2.0.

that's why i don't care what anyone says, nba was the best in the 80's and 90's. you could actually be a fan of a team. now it's all business and how many championships you can buy.
Yeah that is true, their did seem to be a much more gritty atmosphere back in the day,I remember Reggie was saying on Dan Patrick show how the players coming up knowadays grew up through the system as kids going to the camps,so a lot of them are friends from childhood.
