    Bartolo Colon Hits HR?! Really?!
Did anyone see this today? Bartolo Colon brought down the house with his first HR.

    This actually made my week:

Coverage includes audio and video clips, interviews, statistics, schedules and exclusive stories.

Swingers luck. He hacked and got lucky. Sometimes the ball finds the barrel of a bat.

Well he spent his whole career in the AL so since '97 he hasn't exactly had that many at bats. He might injure himself on a swing someday, but he does square the ball up quite well and is fairly level. Lots of hard outs when he does make contact. He crushed one foul either his last start or the one before... I felt it was only a matter of time before he ran into one. I think he might have one more in him.

Big deal made because he is such an atrocious hitter. Mets announcers were hilarious.

Not even close. Off the top of my head, Micah Owings was almost a career .300 batter. I'm sure there are others.

During my lifetime, Earl Wilson back in the 60s. In the history of baseball, Wes Ferrell. During the 2000s, Owings and Mike Hampton.

I guess this blows any chance of the DH being brought to the NL now.

Home plate umpire went to the bathroom as soon as Colon hit the HR and when he came back Bartolo was still going around the 2nd base.
