Brad Stevens can play some Playoff Chess
If the Celtics take this series to 7 it has to be because of Stevens lineup changes. Jerebko has had his best games. Thomas is scoring with this unit whenever he wants. Stevens puts a 6'4 guy on 6'9 power forward and he hold him scoreless in OT. Amazing. Before game 4 you could have gotten C's +8000 to win East.

True but the celtics aren't winning the east. In fact they aren't even winning this series. It's a home series.

It aint rocket science. He's lucky he has the freedom to do whatever he wants there -i.e no super-stars. Best thing he did was start Jerebko -perhaps a fluke given it was precipitated by the Olynyk injury.

They can't beat the Hawks in Atlanta. Mike Budenholzer has his number at home.

ehhh idk.. may take the Cs with the points in game 5. I dont think they can possibly play as bad as they did in game 2 in Atl again.. I think losing bradley in game 1 made it too much to adjust for game 2. I think they have figured out what works now and i dont think they will miss him as much as they did in game 2.

Well of course they arent a lock and are close to a lock to lose. THat's why they are +8000.

But 8000 is pretty nice odds. They are CAPABLE of getting by the Hawks and the Pacers. How big of a payoff would you need to take them over Cleveland? Its not like Cavs havent imploded before and thats not figuring in injuries which are relevant when you are talking 80-1

If they were 4-1 to win each series they would be 124-1 to win the East. I wouldn't take 4-1 in any of the next two series, and wouldn't have taken it before that game 4 win for this series.

Good point. If they moved on they could be favored in next series but would be what... 8-1 vs Cavs?

Great young coach. The team plays tough together and they bought into his system. Big time free agents will want to play for him. LeBron said last season players like his coaching style. Obviously Durant should be their (along with every other teams) free agent target but Horford would be a great fit too. Gasol or Noah would be good if salary is reasonable.

Atl is a tough matchup as krit and lb said. They are still a year or two from being legit title contenders.

Ainge HAS to pull a Red. With the picks and pieces and coach, they better be legit in 2 years.

Huge Celtic lifer. Why am I not excited about Horford, Gasol or Noah? I would send a hit squad if they
picked up Dewey Howard. Even Durant and the price he would demand would give me pause.

Right they could pull off something big after the draft like they did with the big 3. Durant, Horford, Harry Barnes all big options.

How about bringing Rondo back? =O Bring back Pierce for the last ride.

Harrison Barnes will get overpaid, leave State and never live up to the contract. When you iso the dude he's nothing special. Beasley has cooked him this series when he's on the floor.

Huge Celtic lifer. Why am I not excited about Horford, Gasol or Noah? I would send a hit squad if they
picked up Dewey Howard. Even Durant and the price he would demand would give me pause.
Horford not flashy but he is one of the best all around big men in game. Would thrive in Boston's system. Gasol or Noah would be complimentary pieces.

Durant is a top 5 player. You pay the price to have him.

Howard sucks and I too fear Ainge will do something stupid and settle for either him, Love or Melo and screw team over.

Gasol had a solid season for Bulls and still has good seasons ahead of him.

To pick up a Durant or Horford they need to figure out who is expendable. Turner and Sullinger are UFA so they could be used in a sign and trade. Bradley or Smart may have to be dealt in any big deal as well.
