Diamondbacks lose AJ Pollack for a while
What's this guy doing sliding head first into home in a spring game?

A.J. Pollock suffered a right elbow fracture and will require surgery.

Absolutely brutal news for the D-Backs. Pollock has been dealing with elbow soreness for most of the spring and grabbed at the area in obvious pain after sliding into home plate during Friday's game. The team should have a better idea about his timeline on Saturday, but obviously he's looking at an extended absence. Socrates Brito could get a chance at a full-time role in Arizona's outfield, so those in deeper mixed fantasy leagues should take a look.

I was watching the game...dude just slid across the plate head first and his right arm just kind of gave way...there was no contact with Perez of the Royals at all. He grabbed his arm and in the dugout the mic was on and he dropped an F bomb on the way back to the clubhouse so you knew it was bad.

Great, I have under 169.5 hits. AS long as he plays 1 game this year

First the lease BS, now this. Too early to tell, but could be a sign of things to come.

Don't blame Pollock for playing hard. Blame the Diamondbacks for not being responsible for his injury. They went from "holding him out for the first 5 games regular season" to letting him play worthless preseason games. Completely irresponsible management from a franchise that made the guy untradeable over the offseason.

              My fantasy team is pissed.

Par for the course. This is the organization that traded Max Scherzer for Ian Kennedy. Straight up.

Sliding head first on opening day would have required less time for recovery. AJ got unlucky here.
