Johnny I read the newspapers every day handicapping wise I got to check my spreadsheet from last year it might not of been that great but I know the game I got coaching offers when I was 27 for a local JV team

I have a feeling that, much like the hockey moderator job, in which my sole qualification for it was that I had once nailed a bad-ass bitch who served me drinks at Austin Ice Bats games back in the day -- which nevertheless rendered me more qualified than Mr. Gold for that position, my best qualification for this current MLB assistant moderator job similarly renders me more qualified for it than Mr. Gold.....

that best qualification being that after my divorce, I met and had all sorts of fun with a bad-ass redhead who was a "Bud Girl" (ie, on their Budweiser promo posters) from Tennessee, who prior to meeting me was dating a man who she thought was an insurance salesman here in H-town....

well, one night, two of her male friends saw her and this man out on a date at a nice steakhouse.... one of them signaled to her, and she left the table and went over to her friends, who asked her what in the hell she was doing with a certain Astros pitcher, who was married, and sitting across the table from her.... She said she had no idea that he was "that guy," and told her friends that the pitcher had lied to her..... She told the pro off and left and never saw him again (or so she told me months later).....

so, I have that connection to MLB, which renders me more qualified than one Mr. Gold....

ps... I give a lot of credit to the pitcher for not simply using the "do you know who I am line" to tag away on the local talent..... he was a good lookin' guy with who retired with something like 148 wins, and could have had all the wool he wanted..... Guess he couldn't do it legit, being married and all.....
