#39We get the point A-hole. Gambling is an addiction, like sex and drinking alcohol. We enjoy doing all 3, so fukk off.Comment -

#41The house is easy to beat. You get to choose which lines you play and don't have to take anything you don't want. The books don't have the same luxury (unless they apply a long delay and deny everything they don't like).Comment -

Multifaceted it is.
Starts with the basic premise that ever gambler should consider, regardless of their status...rec, pro, rookie, whatever...it does not matter. But specifically for the newer or rec bettors. They should know the odds they face right off the bat. If their goal is to be entertain while losing more money than winning, then they chose the right hobby. Of course not too many other hobbies break your legs if you can't pay to participate.
Anyone considering doing this long term should enter with the knowledge and understanding that nearly $5 of every $100 they wager will end up with the House. But if you are a rec bettor and don't care that you will lose money, welcome home. I would suggest you divert your funds to something less stressful and less illegal.
Another point I try to get across is that the House isn't out to get you. It doesn't have to target you. That 4.54% will do that. The longer you stay in the game, the more exaggerated the House Edge will become. Of course they will sometimes have rooting interests in the outcomes of games, like the Total in the Pats/Bears game, but for the most part, the House could care less about 98% of their clientele. As long as those bettors like favorites and overs or supply opposite action. Which will happen. I can walk in a local bar here in Pittsburgh and say "The Dolphins are going to cover against the Bills." Half will say yes, and half will say no.
And of course I like to entertain myself. Sometimes it takes the form of a rambling, profanity-laced soliloquy with several pop culture references that make me laugh and 95% of posters don't get, and wont even try to get. With that rant I can poke fun at the majority of the Board without calling anyone out by name. That makes me happy.
Finally I like to get people thinking. If the odds are the majority of bettors will lose long term, how come everybody on this board wins consistently? If you start asking yourself that question, and draw the obvious conclusion that there may be a bending of the truth from some posters, you can make further assumptions. Take that fact with the complete lack of a record even though hundreds of plays are posted daily, you can go further.
So given:
A. Most bettors lose long term, except on SBR and
B. Where people always win, but with no record to prove it
then
C. How likely are you, joe johnny square bettor, to either win using plays from SBR or improve and grow as a handicapper?
i can type until my fingers are too cramped to jerk off, but it wont matter. I could be one of the most knowledgeable bettors on this forum, but anything I type wont make a difference. Too many lies and selective thread bumping for that to happen. But you should never take one of posts at face value. The reply I gave last night was thought out and planned.
When I say I will be the new JJ, it isn't about posting 500 times a day. It isn't about posting losing spread sheets or starting countless threads about the 4 or 5 possibly female posters on SBR.
It is about acting the part. Acting like a fool and see if anyone figures it out. JJ wins. He is smart and a good bettor, but most of the posters on this board fall for the vaudeville routine. So you either read my ramblings and insult me, or you read and figure out what it means. I either am a clueless fukk that is barreled in, or I built a BR with a 500% over the last 4 years.

#52First of all, who the hell plays at -110, whether you get bonuses, play at a reduced juice place, or get smart and play at Matchbook, either way anyone who has half a brain can make their break even point around 51%. Secondly, speak for yourself, maybe you cant beat the house edge, but there are a lot of us that can, and do it every season by working hard and exploiting inefficient markets.Comment -

#53I know, everybody on SBR wins. I've already accepted that as gospel.
It is pretty amazing when you think long term nearly 100% of bettors will lose, but on SBR it is the exact opposite. You guys should pool resources and set out to take down Vegas, or offshore books.Comment -
