Thanks to the pointless interleague the Mets will barely play the Dodgers. The play was somewhere between hard play and dirty, but Mets won series ... I'd say most have moved past the incident except for Tejada, the media looking for a story, and fans looking to get mad about something.

Let's please not defend this as a baseball play. We all know taking out a fielder is perfectly acceptable but the way you do it is what matters. A hard feet first side would have garnered no ill feelings but a rolling tumbling body tackle is definitely not the way to do it. Joe Torre labeled the play dirty and the punishment was handed down. The "real man" chase utley hid in the dugout until he got a chance to hit where the mets couldn't bean him. Wouldn't be surprised if that was the plan again.

Also mlb just changed the rule making this play even more illegal and now the suspension gets lifted? For what reason?

Noah Syndergaard should bring the justice if he gets the opportunity. Utley is a marked man as he should be.
