I am unloading on the mets over the cubs.

Learn sports. Cubs beat a garbage useless cards squad with no pitchers. This mets team is stacked on the starting staff and will make those schwarbers/bryants and rizzos and the other soler guy look like the rookies they are. Never forget pitching wins titles. Cubs won't match the Mets.

it would of been good if the staff was lined up but since thor pitched today harvey and matz will start game 1 and 2 vs lester and arrieta i like cubs to get a split or maybe win both matchups there. Cubs in 6

And Syndergaard and Matz aren't rookies? How much experience does DeGrom and Harvey have?

    I'll take Lester and Arrieta.

Rotation as a whole is better and the bullpen is better too. Offense goes to the Cubs, but great pitching negates great hitting.

    Cubs will be a favorite...thinking -130 to -140.

What do you make the series price at?

You needn't look past what they were able to accomplish tonight. It's going to add major confidence, especially Syndergaard coming into the game as a reliever and getting the job done. DeGrom pitched most of the game with runners in scoring position and maintained his composure.

In the post season, all that matters is what's being done in October. Many of the W.S. winners were not the best regular season teams, but they were able to peak when it counts. The Cards' pitching rotation was arguably the weakest.

Mets and Royals to face each other and from there, it's anyone's guess.

Could be right...I think the line will be a tick higher because the Cubs disposed of the Cards rather easily and the offense looked impressive.

Royals or Jays are winning the world series. Mets don't have the lineup 1-9 to beat the Jays or Royals. If you get their top four batters out they are dead in the water, can't hit for shit, even against an average pitcher.

I'm not sure about the Cubs and Mets, that's not the right series to unload on. Just unload on the world series. You'll be able to get a close to a pk price on either the Royals or the Jays probably.

I agree. Cubs are winning when it counts. Nobody is hotter last 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 6 weeks, 8 weeks, 10 weeks. Cubs are going to World Series. At that point, I have no clue. But Mets are not beating the Cubs. Terry Collins is not beating Joe Maddon.

    Yeah thats inaccurate
Syndergard will be going 1 most likely, if not it will be Harvey THEN Syndergard.
It was Syndergard's throwing day today anyways, and he only threw a few pitches (plus warmed up a few different times in the pen).
It was actually quite perfect for him.
Today's game had no affect on his availability for the next series whatsoever.

If the Jays, Royals, etc., were able to play the Cards, they'd appear to be the hottest team in the playoffs.

Actually the Cards cooled the Cubs off. The Cubs had won 9 in a row heading into that series.

Harvey is a pussy and doesn't deserve this spotlight.
He already choked his first shot but we put up 13 runs for him.

Not Game 1, Harvey will be favored at home over Lester. Road teams favored Game 2 and Game 3. Road team favored Game 4 if Cubs go with fourth starer.
