    NFL Week 1 Discussion

Haven't seen any serious threads about week 1 threads yet. Let's get the discussion going here, realizing lines may move and I don't plan to place bets yet as its too early. But never too early for research and discussion.

I LOVE Green Bay -6 @ Chicago. Rodgers is a complete stud at soldier field. Bears Defense should be whack, and offense will be shaken up with new coaching and health issues in the WR department. Jay Cutler is good for a INT or two as well. Should be high scoring game, may be worth looking into.

Tampa Bay -3 vs Tennessee. We get to see the two big time rookie QBs battle it out, but I like TB here and early in the season. Tenn should remain awful.

Detroit may be a live dog at San Diego.

St Louis could be a live dog at home against Seattle

What sticks out to you guys??????

    no play for me
but Chicago defense should be much improved under fox
he will also temper cutler and run forte more
and cutler still has weapons and if given a short leash will be much more effective
not saying chi wins, but they can definetly keep it within 6

    as far as tb/tenn
    i like the over 42
both quarterbacks have the mobility to extend plays and allow wrs to get open deep
both qbs will turn the ball over (which can be good or bad for totals i know)
think the total is a bit low game ends 24-20

Green Bay should roll Bears...Tampa's gonna be awful..Dick LeBeau will be coming after Jamies Winston who I think will struggle alot more than Mariota...St. Louis will beat Seattle at home..Seattle O-Line is gonna take a while to adjust if it does since they will be without Max Unger whom Seattle traded for Jimmy Graham. Ungar made all protection calls which now ill be made by Wilson or someone new which will take time to adjust. Seattle already has a hard enough time IN St. Louis and now with the O-Line with a new centre as opposed to a veteran..yikes! That St. Louis D-Line is going eat them alive..I think most public money will be on Seattle and this will be one of the surprise upsets.

vikes is the number 1 for me....think opened 4.5 down to 1.5 in most places....they will go off favs...will win outright...great team will be solid defensively and the 9ers wont know what to expect on offense......see the vikes winning easily here imo....

    Love Green Bay too!

    Love the Panthers.

Love the Jets ( Geno being out could be a good thing IMO)

Lay the hammer on the Cardinals, Broncos, Cowboys, Eagles and 49ers too.

St Louis is a live dog against Rams but i hope the Seahawks squeak by them so that i can hammer the Packers in week 2 with -3 or less.

road team on MNF is bad news.

Eagles can pull off a road victory on MNF bc the Falcons are worse than dog shit but the 49ers will hit the Vikings in the mouh.

Rogers will play more than but a few snaps? I don't think he will. Not saying Packers still won't win, I just wouldn't count on Rodgers playing for more than one drive total.

I'm thinking about jumping on Pittsburgh +3 @ NE ahead of the deflatgate decision. If Brady misses this game, and they will already be without Blount in the backfield for game 1, they won't be able to mount enough offense with a backup QB and RB... Also Revis is long gone and the best corner they have is Malcom Butler.

Garapolo doesn't look ready, but that could change in a month. Keep an eye on him.

Pats D does look crisp tho, they shut down Rodgers for a half with every GB starter on the field.

Like the over in the NO/ARI Game. 47 with two high octane offenses. Palmer back. Marginal pass defenses last year.

May be too early to PLACE the bets but NEVER too early to analyze & discuss them.

Coach I've already analyzed November 13th college hoops matchups. MSU vs Kansas and Kentucky vs Duke. Big Super Tuesday in college hoops. 👍

I'm smacking DENVER-4 over baltimore week 1. This might be Manning last ride at the age of 39 and with the weapons he have and Tom " cheater" Brady talking smack about him being washed up and done. I think denver is going to come out on FYE to show the rest of the league that they're still an elite team with a elite QB. Baltimore is a solid team but, they don't have enough to compete with denver. Slow down their two bookends(suggs/dumerville) and this game is a blowout!

Actually like Saints week 1 as my top play so far. Haven't looked too much into it but I made a thread last summer about the saints having camp at a golf resort which is still the case but I think they learned. Jimmy Graham won't even be missed in a Drew Brees offense especially after his lack of production last year. Cardinals are trash and greatly over achieved last season.
