not too specific bro, what you talkin about? im predicting it falls to a low within a few months, and then will begin to slowly rise back to where it was. nothing crazy. It was at 18,000 a few months ago and it went up way too fast in those last 5 years. i knew the correction was coming, and maybe we're in the middle of it. it'll fall, it'll rise. my predictions of 15,500 or 16,000 aren't too crazy or specific at all, nor is 17,500 or 18,000 in a few years.

I agree. Got into disney a few years ago at $45 or so. Been probably top 3 stock buys I've ever made. I did think it was huuuuge, possibly overvalued, in the last few weeks, but we'll see. It's one of the few large media stocks that has no reason to drop. ESPN is doing fantastic, great buy for Disney. Hopefully this little sell-off is temporary and continues rising to maybe 125 or 130 or something by the end of the year or next year.

DIS is trading at 20× earnings and it is going up 25-30% in the next 4 months while it will take 3 years for the dow to get back to where it was at the beginning of the month? You have NO idea what youre talking about. Zero. The average BEAR market lasts 13 months, this is a correction, which lasts two months on average. I honestly didn't know it would rise as high as it did. I got it at 45 and thought it could be at 75 or something in 5 years but it's really outperformed my guess.

I just thought it was very under-priced. ESPN networks are huge and sports are the biggest they've ever been. Despite people acting like movies are down, they still make a ton of money and Disney has been doing fantastic with those the last 5 years. But yeah main reason was that I just thought it was under-priced. A name like Disney, owning ESPN and ABC networks, I just thought it was a good stock to hold, and I was at least right about that. Made some bad investments, but more good than bad ones.


greaselightnin: not at all saying im an expert. i sniped disney hard, and just last week i told my money manager i wanted to sell my big mutual fund because i thought a market correction was coming, it worked out perfectly. not an expert but i have a good feel for US and global economies I feel like.

Disney is doing extremely well, one of the few media companies that is, and they have no reason to falter. I agree it might be slightly overvalued, but this correction should be about enough, maybe down to 90 or so at most. It's going to go back up pretty soon.


If I were to give money advice to anyone, it would be commodities and overseas/emerging markets. Oil might still fall, some think it could get down to 35, but after that it will go up without a doubt. When it starts looking like it's coming back, pound it. Gold could be decent too but I'm holding back on that. China and Russia and Indian markets, that's where I'm looking to put my money once things even out and China stops falling. US is overvalued, those are undervalued.
