    SBR lines? are they accurate?
I was checking the SBR Odds and noticed that the
odds and spreads at bodog are different then what
i can get. is it slow? or is it just undependable?
funny thing is i have checked this before and never
noticed anything different-now 6 games have different
spreads than what bodog is showing me when i log in??

Bodog (like a lot of other books) deal dual lines so I can imagine that's where the discrepancy is coming from.

can someone log on to bodog and see what line your computer

Yep - there are a LOT of books which do this.

Nope - like I said, Bodog deal dual lines, that's the most likely explanation.

If I go to Bodog on a "clean" browser then I get:

                Pats -4.5 -105
                Bills +4.5 -115

But if I log in, I get:

                Pats -4 -115
                Bills +4 -105

I get the "clean" line. But, I haven't bet with Bodog yet.

Is there that much of a difference in the two lines? I guess it forces you to move a half point, but you get the compensation in juice. Maybe this is one of those complicated theoretical matters which I haven't quite mastered.

I usually bet the ML so I don't take much notice of the sides. I don't know how complicated their algorithm is for dealing dual lines but I'm sure I've read somewhere they revealed that if someone usually bets dog lines, then eventually they get worse odds on dogs. You don't lose anything on the spread, you just get worse odds on the dog, so a -180/+160 ML would move to -170/+150. The reverse would be true if you bet faves, the odds would move from -170/+150 to -180/+160.

To value players, it doesn't have much effect over the long term - a 10c shift in the line could make an average value bet into a good value bet.

on the bills and patriots game will be 4.5 ? It's not a big deal but
i don't like it. Can someone explain to me why bodog does this?
this is something i have never heard about b4?

I wish I knew too. Maybe there is a way we can offer both of their lines so the user could choose the right line set?? I will ask our tech guys.

Well, you can view the lines before you log in. In that case, you'd see the lines SBR has. Once you log in, though, they'll shift against whichever way you typically play.

Lines on SBR were DEFINITELY off yesterday. I have heard there is a lag on the weekends. I was looking at Pinnacle's lines and they were different than what SBR was showing.
