Top 10 ballparks to catch a foul ball
SBR dug into the Baseball Savant data to determine the best ballparks for catching a foul ball. Let's take a look at the results:

    ️Key Takeaways:

    - Comerica Park (Detroit) is the best place in the Majors to grab a foul ball, particularly in Sections 112, 113, 142, and 143

    - Right field seats are better to catch a foul ball with, nine of the top 10 ballparks favoring the right side

-️ Nationals Park (Washington) is the only ballpark in the top 10 where left field sees more foul ball action

    Rank Ballpark Foul Balls/Game
    1 Comerica Park (DET) 113
    2 Rate Field (CWS) 105
    3 Chase Field (ARZ) 99
    4 loanDepot Park (MIA) 92
5 Oriole Park at Camden Yards (BAL) 88
    6 Nationals Park (WAS) 86
    7 Kauffman Stadium (KC) 85
    8 Busch Stadium (STL) 84
    9 Petco Park (SD) 80
    10 Dodger Stadium (LAD) 78

Have you been lucky enough to catch a foul ball at any of these stadiums? I have one from Comerica Park so the numbers might be onto something!

I like Savant for abstract statistics.
I never caught a foul ball, I've come close though.

I'm a Royals fan; the 'K' is a good venue for foul balls.
Surprised to see Fenway isn't on that list.

I picked up a fouled line drive when I was sitting behind the first base a little bit up at Braves game. The ball bounced off the seats and landed on my feet so I picked it up. Don't know if that counts as catching it though.

I think if you end up with the ball it counts!

I've got 2 at Fenway, one ball famous. Made Sports Illustrated. I'm guessing 1978 center field. NYY vs Sox Yaz hit long lazy ball to straight center. Controversial call as my friend and I combined to catch the home run to tie the game 6-6. Mayhe 7/28. No Neck Williams was quoted in Si as "Some White dude in a plaid shirt took the ball right out of my glove". Well the wall is like 18' so quite an exaggeration. Was all over the news when we returned home. Local dive bar later some dude offer me $20 for the ball and I sold immediately. Would love to have the SI issue if anyone can find.

I was at Fenway in the 60's when if they got 900 fans it was amazing. Watched Bill Monbouquette?? pitch the first 7 innings of a no hitter with the aforementioned circa 900 fans. Dad made me leave early to beat the traffic LOL.
