1) I don't question the talent. And I know about the age. He's way ahead of his peers.
2) He showed some leadership at Duke. He was a star but did his best to deflect and give credit to his teammates.
My reservation ties to a few things:
a) The LONG track-record of NBA being void of white American super-stars.
b) The money he'll get has to be mind-blowing. Distractions aplenty. Nice problem to have, how many girls will be throwing themselves at him?
c) Not sure that I have YET seen the creativity in his game. Has not yet needed it. He's been better than his opponents (thus far) by two oceans.
Call me Old-school. I believe in the Bill Bradley saying: "When you're sleeping, someone else is getting better."
I'll be rooting for Flagg. Easier said than done.
