Hey, guys. Reception was good for the 2024 contest. The three winners were paid out to their satisfaction.
Planning to do it again in 2025. Here are the tweaks I'm considering for the upcoming season:
1) 40 contestants. All by invite. Thought about 30, but 40 for now.
2) Payout pool = $600. MJ still has $100 on deposit with me. I'll cover the remainder.
3) Top three paid out. $300/200/100.
4) Here's the tweak. Last year it was six teams to MISS the Playoffs.
5) For 2025 my thought is to give each contestant ten units. You get ten 1-unit bets. You can allocate to ten teams, either to MAKE the playoffs or to MISS the playoffs.
6) Decimal lines will be posted after the last Exhibition game.
7) Fixed lines. 48-hour window for each contestant to submit picks. No edits.
