Loretta Swit, actor who starred on TV's "M*A*S*H," dies at 87
This just came across the wire less than an hour ago.
As soon as I read the first two words, "Loretta Swit, " my reaction was "No, Dear God no."

I loved 'Hot Lips', what red-blooded male didn't love Hot Lips? I grew up with her.

Watched MASH weekly on Sunday nights from when I was about 7yo, and then everyday after school when reruns started. Brings up fond memories.

But Hot Lips and Frank were the baddies to me as a kid, as much as I liked Loretta Swit later in life.

Thanks for the entertainment Loretta. Vale.

What a cast that show had.

It was a must watch show back in the day.
        A job well done ma’am.

It appears she died a natural death, pending the coroner's final report.
I heard she lived a clean life.

I'm probably the biggest crime drama fan in the world. I watch reruns of Hawaii Five-0 with Jack Lord whenever I get the chance.
I recall seeing Loretta Swit appear on several episodes, from the late 1970s to the early 1980s, before she became a household name.
          She was *stunning*

She pretty much nailed every role she played, from sitcoms to dramas; no matter what, she was terrific at what she did. Acting.

The first three years of MASH, with McLean Stevenson, Alda, and Wayne Rodgers, were about as good as a sitcom could get.
I like Harry Morgan, but he wasn't as good as Stevenson. Wayne Rodgers, IMO, was the best Trapper John if you ask me. The problem was that there were giant clashes of egos on the set; the producers had no choice but to break up that trio.
