Do you think the managers set up the lineups every day based on historical data and sabremetrics to win games? Like hey look the historical data says we are going to lose today so just keep that in mind when you swing or pitch. It may not meant to win today regardless of play.

Dude no manager cares if the team lost or won in the past as no current players or managers were part of these games. Treat every game as a new game and throw all history and old stats out the door. Look at more recent data like how good or bat hitters hit the ball or pitchers pitch, look at injuries and fatique, weather..you know the things that affect the game and not old stats and history.
