Playoff baseball is fun. I haven't followed as much this year as the last couple years but definitely tuning in for the playoffs. Also an indicator NBA is right around the corner

Baseball at this time is the most suspenseful game. It is anyway, people just can't hack watching the same team over and over unless it becomes part of their life --- an escape from reality which is why it's actually cool to have a high volume of games. Playoffs just make the randomness that much more exciting

I like the fact that the usual suspects aren't in the picture. Outside of the LA teams, there is no Yanks or Red Sox. Baseball and it's payroll structure keeps the big players in the picture. Other sports not so much.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Royals make a run, even though I don't think they have enough offensive firepower to do it. They play the game the right way as far as I'm concerned.
