Don't win too much at Ladbrokes! You won't get paid

    Hello all,

I have used this site in the past to select reliable casinos, but this is my first post ever. My goal is to let everyone know of how badly Ladbrokes has treated me over the last few weeks. I am so sick of this situation that it seems like the only thing left to do is to tarnish their reputation. I will state facts and dates.

September 14th: I made my initial deposit.

I played mostly baccarat between that day and October 2nd. I am a high roller and I would bet up to $5000 on a single hand. I got extremely lucky (the best luck I've had in my gambling career) and won around $120 000 at Ladbrokes over 9 betting sessions.

Ladbrokes only allows $4000 withdrawals per day via Moneybookers, so I started cashing out all of that money.

October 9th: my Ladbrokes account is suspended.

I started sending SEVERAL emails to them, asking what was going on. I couldn't ask over their live help since I could not log in. Someone finally answered the following:

"Your account has no active locks on, please try to login again making
sure that you do not have CAPS LOCK on your key board pressed. If you
still are having trouble login in please provide us with a valid number
and time when can contact you us so we can deal with the matter
    promptly."

Uh??? How could he not see that my account was indeed suspended? So I sent more emails mentioning that I entered my username and password correctly (no caps lock on). I got this message from them on October 11th:

"We have received notification from Moneybookers that there are pending
    > issues with your account.
    >
    > We will be unable to activate your Ladbrokes Account until all issues
    > with Moneybookers have been resolved.
    >
    > We would advise you that you contact Moneybookers and resolve any
    > pending issues you may have with them. Once all issues have been
    > resolved we will be able to activate your account."

Again, uh??? I did have problems with my Moneybookers account, but the issue had been resolved 9 days earlier!! So that excuse sounded like bull.

Now, remember what they said above: "Once all issues have been
resolved we will be able to activate your account." That turned out to be one more lie.

Two days later (October 13th), they unlocked my account after fighting hard to get Moneybookers to contact them (or vice-versa).

I was able to withdraw $4000 on four consecutive days when SURPRISE!! my account gets suspended once again. Of course no message was sent to me to explain it. They just freeze the account and that's it. So unprofessional, really. Their explanation:

"When the investigation has reached a conclusion, we will contact you
    immediately."

What investigation? I asked several times and got no clear answer. After insisting a lot, they finally said this:

"First of all we hope that you will accept our apologies for the delay in
    resolving your query.

It is our normal procedure to perform security checks on accounts which
have been flagged by our system, especially when such large amounts of
funds are involved. The security of our customers funds is of the
    highest priority to Ladbrokes.

There has also been some confusion regarding an email received from
yourself on 9th October making enquiries about another Ladbrokes account
which is not in your own name.

In order to assist us with our security checks, as per our procedure as
stated on our website, we would appreciate it if you could provide
documentation as details below and once accepted, no further security
checks will be necessary and you will also be allowed to withdraw your
funds directly to your bank account:

    1. Some form of photographic ID (driving license/passport)
    2. A recent bank statement clearly showing the banking details you wish
to withdraw to. It must also include your name and address

Again please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience and
please be assured that we are making every effort to resolve your query
    as quickly as possible"

The security of my funds is their priority? Are you kidding me? If they cared so much, they would simply pay me up.

The email they are talking about (sent on October 9th) is the first message I sent inquiring about the reason why my account was suspended. A friend of mine also plays with Ladbrokes so I called him when I realized my account was frozen. I found out that his account had also been blocked!! He told me what his username was, and for some reason it stuck in my head and I ended up writing HIS username instead of mine at the end of my message. Ladbrokes got confused and asked why I wrote somebody else's username. I explained immediately. It was a simple dumb mistake on my part.

So I sent my ID documents to them on October 16th. Two days later (October 18th), here is what I got:

"We can confirm that your account is active for you to use, however we
have placed a withdrawal block onto the account as there is a few
further details that need to be investigated.

We are expecting a response back from them shortly, hopefully this will
be within the next 48 hours, as soon as we have any update we will be in
    contact with you."

What a joke. So just to recap, on October 11th they said my account would be active once the Moneybooers pseudo-issues (which did not even exist!!!) would be resolved. LIE. On the 18th they said that once they would be done verifying my ID documents no further security checks would be required. LIE.

Since then I've sent more emails, but their answers are not even worth pasting here since it's all bull.

I am REALLY sick of this. Please note that my friend's account is still suspended also (he also won quite a bit of money there). We still have no idea what is going on. They must be stalling for time to keep our money.

Conclusion: do not win too much there. You may not get paid. Or if you do, you will go through A LOT of hassle. Beware of this casino.

    Thanks for reading.

ITS TRUE ! i was betting online with ladbrokes and now when my balance got to 5000 pounds i wanted take my winnings
i had to pass all this id checks with my passport etc
then they allow that i can either withdraw in shop 200 per day or register and bank account. so i registered a bank account and they
send my withdraws ok. for a while until then i log in lately and it suspended ! they said the bank dosent match my address.
aparently i was only allowed to withdraw my winnings if i had my own personal bank account !! not my partners !
so they sorted all this out for me and registered my own bank account and then all the details match .
But then they want i resend my passport again and the picture of my bank card etc with my name on it.
After i did all that they said to me on the phone they do not believe this is my ladbrokes account !!???????????? and they said
to me to go into the shop tomorrow . So i am going down there first thing in the morning!

will write back, how they gunna try to get of of paying me now ! they have tried everything so far to get out of paying

is this happening to anyone else too? what is ladbrokes problem ? i heard they lost 10 million on the national are they going bust?

just that you bump such an old thread, and sent your partners bankacocunt, makes the flags go all over that you might not be speaking the truth..Ladbrokes is solid, not often too many complaint, I guess they have a valid reason to investigate this..5000 dollars is nothing for them, so no reason to stall it, IF everything was ok..why on earth would you not submit your own bankaccount in the beginning?

The bookies as a whole lost 10 mil on the national, not just laddy's.

Are all these problems coming from the fact you guys aren't using credit/debit cards? My friend made about 10k on an accumulator and withdrew it fair and simple from his bet365 account onto his debit card

Did u ever receive your winnings? I'm in the same plate as yours. I play live baccarat, wagering high amounts £30,000 for a single bet. I won like £300,000 in a day. I called the customer support and they said we will ask the banking team to do the needful. In the next few hours what I see, I'm unable to login. They suspended my account. I had sent them my passport, CC copy, utility bill for address proof. They send me an email, saying, due to suspicious activity, we have closed your account. I've been tired arguing with them, but they won't listen. They reply to my emails after 2-3days !
