    RIP Doink the Clown

Matt Osborne, aka Doink The Clown, Passes Away

The ex-WWE star was found by his girlfriend, who he had been living with, in her Plano, Texas apartment, according to TMZ. The cause of death is still unknown, and though police have reportedly launched a homicide investigation, a source tells TMZ that it is merely standard procedure, and that all indications are that Matt’s death was accidental.

He was the best doink but there are other versions still alive like Ray Apollo who took over when Osborne got fired.

    RIP Osborne

There were so many bad gimmicks in the mid 90's, Duke the Dumpster Drosey and Mantaur have to the some of the worst ones. The guy who did IRS returns was horrible too.

I remember that. They say Pat Patterson came up with it and most of the horrible 90's gimmicks. Originally Undertaker was supposed to come out of the egg but they scrapped that idea.

He'll always be Matt Borne to me. He was a member of the "Rat Pack" in the old Mid South Wrestling promotion with Ted DiBiase and Hacksaw Duggan. Its just a shame he couldn't cut it when the promotions went national. RIP Matt

Watch the whole match but especially 2:50, 9:10, and 18:25 marks....I remember watching this in like 6th or 7th grade....pretty much like this the whole time

I vaguely remember the Doink the Clown era but I was really young and didn't follow it much.....really got into wrestling from like 97-2001....the WCW and WWF Monday Night wars era, the golden age

Haven't followed wrestling since then but damn I loved it back then

He played Evil Doink perfectly, and he was highly underrated technical wrestler. RIP. Matt Osborne.

That was a Pat Patterson gimmick. He came up with it. It's basically the red kock.
