    Mansion vs. Matchbook...The Debate
For those of you who like exchanges (and I'm beginning to), which exchange do you think is better and why?

I took that free $50 offer at Matchbook and I'm very impressed with what I've seen so far. I'd like to hear the pros and cons of these two popular exchanges. If you were recommending someone to use an exchange, which one would you recommend and why?

For MLB, Mansion was head and shoulders the best. But there's very little punter money around for NFL/NBA. Matchbook would be the preferable one but I'd still keep an eye on Mansion - it's currently free to deposit to and withdraw from (using Neteller at least) so there's very little downside. Don't think Mansion offer a bonus anymore (only one for the casino) but there's a lot more value to exchanges than a new player bonus.

Judging from some of the comments made at this forum I don't think people realize how much the 2% fee on winnings effects the line. If the listed price is minus -104 then you're betting $104 to win $98, or 104/98 which is -109.

I'm impressed with Matchbook's software, but I wish they'd have some kind of incentive for people willing to put up bets. Assuming the risk of line movement, as well as the strong possibility that even a market best line won't get taken, there's no reaons to do anything but take what is offered--which IMO hasn't been much so far, though I recognize others have found value.

And that's why I don't understand why Mansion is seeing very little volume from it's customers at the moment - it was a lot different during MLB. If you put up an offer at Mansion, a winner costs nothing (as opposed to 2% for a winning offer at Matchbook) and if you take an offer then it only costs you 1% (again, as opposed to 2% for a winning placed bet at Matchbook).

To correct your figures, bookie, if you take an offer at -104 then the effective price is about -106. You're only charged the commission on what you actually win, you're not charged 2% on your initial stake being returned to you.

Possibly worries about Matchbook's seeding v Mansion's Market Makers, and the backing of an unknown v the backing of WSEX.

no reason to debate as hopefully they are both signs of the future.

the real question is why play at a -110 shop when matchbook, mansion, pinnacle, hollywood, bettrojan, and cascade are out there.

you would have to give me a 30% bonus and a 3 time roll to play at a bodog, wwts, vip or any other A rated -110 shop.

as players we need to show support for the discounted juice and or exchanges because it helps us much more than any bonus will in the long run.

however since this is about mansion and matchbook, id say keep the majority of your money in neteller and when you see a line that is too good to pass up fund whichever account has the nuts and in 10 seconds you are wagering. since they both offer free neteller withdrawals the next day you are back where you started.

personally i hope mansion starts offering live wagering as i find that is very important to me and i would remain fully funded there instead of withdrawing my balance every other day.

the real question is compare matchbook/mansion with other places, not each other.

                    see ya
