J-E-T-S Suck...Suck....Suck, but I'm surprised the line is that high.

St. Louis +7 @ Seattle
Green Bay +9 @ Atlanta
Both are a bit higher than I would expect.

I'm not questioning the lines, as I've come to learn that the linemakers are very good at what they do. I also realize it's very early, but I'll probably jump all over the Niners at +12.5 and will consider Green Bay too (although it's Favre playing in a dome).

No, but the 2005 49ers are. I'm not a big fan of laying this number, but I don't know how the 49ers will score. They are playing arguably the best defense in the league. Their 4th string quarterback is no match for that pass rush, secondary, and the windy climate. The Bears offense is starting to emerge, and have plenty of weapons both on the ground (Jones, Benson) and at WR (including Pro Bowler Muhammed). The 49ers have easily the worst defense in the NFL.

Have I made it clear that the 49ers are absolutely dreadful? If not, how about this - they would be getting at least 3 points from every team in the NFL, INCLUDING TWO 1-7 TEAMS, on a neutral site.

By the way, the Rams are one of the teams I am looking at this week also.

Good points Razz. Thanks for that. Maybe I'll stay away from the Niners-Bears game. I wonder what the ML on the Rams will be.
