40-15 loss to Kansas??? They looked horrible...offense is bad, defense is bad, coaching is bad, everything stinks in Lincoln these days. Hard to imagine that Nebraska was in the title game only 4 years ago.

    How the mightly have fallen!

double B, i'm wondering how long bill callahan will last in lincon. i mean those husker fans don't have patients when it comes to winning. i'm guessing callahan is fired in 2 years, if he don't make it to a BCS game.

      Wasn't Solich fired after a 7-3 season?

Bet they'd take that in Lincoln right about now.

That broke like a 36 year lossing streak to Nebraska for Kansas. Good to see the Cornhuskers struggling.

I became a Husker Hater the year they shared the championship (with Washington, if memory serves). I believed then and now that Tom Osborne announced his retirement during the season only for sympathy votes, and it worked. That man maintained a reputation as a gentleman and statesman while he routinely had players who committed some of the worst crimes we've seen athletes commit in recent history. I spit on Nebraska football.

Had a friend who knew an instructor at the University of Nebraska in the days of Tommy Fraizer. He told me that Tommy Fraizer didn't even know how to write his name.

A lot of shady business at that university it seems like.

double B, i think it's like that with alot of players in all these universities. as well as shady business dealings. i think we all remember the SMU death ban back in the 80's

why the huskers hired Callahan was beyond me. after all the reports that his old players from the raiders said about that guy was that he didn't want them to hit that hard and stuff like that. i know if i was running the huskers program, i would have never hired Callahan. but, i would have never fired Solich either.

Solich is one class act. My guess is that he'll be back at a major D1 school before it is all said and done. Either that or he'll win the MAC before he leaves for something better. He is a good guy and Nebraska fans are ridiculous. Absolutely no gauge on reality.....that is, until this year rolled around. To think that Bill Callahan is automatically turn this program into a West Coast offense is sooooooo pie in the sky. If Nebraska really wants to do that, they had better give him 5 years at the least. My guess is that Husker fans don't have the patience to wait that long.......

I've heard that it's almost certain that Bill Callahan will be fired at the end of this year...
