Hubie Brown at 91 calls his last game this Saturday
Brown, now 91 and set to work his final game as a broadcaster, never stopped teaching the sport in more than 55 years since. But his audience grew from college students to players, coaches and TV viewers all over the world.
"It's the most remarkable thing and it's not hyperbole: He has probably taught more people about the game of basketball than anybody that's ever lived," broadcasting partner Mike Breen said.
Brown and Breen will work ABC's telecast of Sunday's game between Philadelphia and Milwaukee, where Brown got his first NBA opportunity as an assistant coach with the Bucks teams featuring Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Oscar Robertson in 1972.

He's had an amazing career. Talk about longevity. Cokin used to call him "the best analyst in any sport."
Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?

I don't follow the NBA anymore but was always a big fan of Hubie Brown. He was a great analyst and hope he has a lovely retirement.

              I was gonna say!

Step #1: we all hope to GET TO THAT AGE.

Step #2: To be employable and functional at that age? Hell, props to you, Mr Brown.

Hubie Brown is the best. He is in the Niagara HOF where he went to school. I was able hear him speak once. He could of gone on and on once if they let him. I'm glad they are making a big deal about it. He deserves it. Fun fact Hubie Brown and Calvin Murphy were the only players in the HOF all the years till the Me To Movement. Ha Ha
