    John Robinson (coach): RIP
John Robinson, the veteran football coach who enjoyed many years of success at USC and with the Los Angeles Rams, has died. He was 89.

He had an interesting career. I know he was well-respected.

His teams were tough. And I know he had a humorous side, too.

    RIP, Coach.
Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?

Salud, Jack. He was good. First game that came to mind was the 1980 Rose Bowl:

*Go to 1:10 for the USC player introductions. McDonald/White/Munoz:

Did you know that a young Munoz had a silent cameo in ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST? He had the size to fit in perfectly as a hospital orderly.

He was a great coach, and he probably could have had a Super Bowl win if his best Rams teams didn't coincide with the 1985 Bears and 1989 49ers.
