76ers Joel Embiid Involved in Physical Altercation with Media Member: Report

Embid is like Franklin over there at Penn State.
The next big game they win will be the first big game they win.

The only thing that surprised me about this was he wasn't injured for the season and rushed to the hospital.

The reporter sounds like an azz, too. Probably deserved more than a shove.

Yeah, I’d like to know what the reporter said but going after a deceased brother and a son is most likely going to get your ass kicked.

Asia - is that what the reporter wrote? If he did write this then I’d be ready to kick his ass too if I’m Embiid. He’s an NBA mvp and you are questioning whether he is good at his job? You then bring up his family as if to question his work ethic. That’s fukking bush league. Keep it about basketball. That’s horseshit.

Only because Mark Jackson had an agenda.
Embid won that MVP because Jackson purposely omitted Jokic's name from the balloting.

My point is that Embiid has been one of the best players in that league. How the hell can this guy question that Embiid is not good at his job? That’s ridiculous. Then to insinuate that Embiid isn’t trying to be great, so he’s not honoring his brother and son is horseshit. He can question his work ethic but don’t question someone’s honor towards their family.

A lot of players have had their careers derailed due to injury, especially Big men like Embiid have always had problems staying healthy. Bill Walton, Sam Bowie, Greg Oden, Yao Ming, Brad Daugherty, Andrew Bynum, Bernard King, Larry Bird, etc., etc. Blood just doesn’t circulate to the feet as well when you’re that big.

The game today is much different than 30 years ago. A big guy like Pat Ewing might fall down once or twice a game. Big guys like Embiid are hitting the floor a dozen times a game today. Sure Embiid flops half the time but you try falling and getting up dozens of times and see how much stress that puts on your joints.

Yeah, I tend to side with you.
People who I 'chat' with are professional sports writers all say Embid is a great human being.
I don't hate on him; I hate the overhype.
