Even rich people aren't immune from lighting money on fire with their obstinacy.

I am guessing 800,000 per game isn't enough money?

Remember Le'Veon Bell? It wasn't that long where he was amazing in Pittsburgh. He had this weird running style when he got the ball where it looked like he was running in slow motion until he found a hole and then ran through it with a burst. I don't remember ever seeing a RB do what he did. It was fun to watch. He was amazing. One of the best RB's in the NFL at the time. Then he decided to hold out for more $. Soon after they traded him. he wasn't ever the same. Then he went into boxing and that was a dud. I am not saying they are similar players of course, except that they lost a ton of money and they had a good thing going before they held out.

        Imagine making 800,000 a week?

Personally, I think Reddick is getting bad advice from his agent or 'team'

I heard he was promised an extension.

Not a surprise this episode is happening with the mismanaged Jets organization.

That said, Reddick sitting out and giving up millions because he wants more money is not very astute. He could have played, balled out and landed a big free agent contract. He won't get anywhere close to as much after sitting out a season and what we have seen from players recently after long layoffs for various reasons(Leveon Bell and Deshaun Watson stand out).

It's the in game stupidity that turns this life long NFL player off. I don't really understand the IQ standard or if it's valid but the average NFL player ranks pretty low. Do they publish the combine intellect score (Forget the name) of each college draftee?

Well Nasher held to what standard? They want to eliminate the MCAS in MA. Wifey read something to me this morning that the reading and math proficient is circa 40%. I had to take my daughter out of first grade now VP at a major corp because she was advanced enough that they had her help the teacher teach first grade. After speaking with the Superintendent he advised me that, that was the policy to integrate the challenged with the proficient. She was immediately transferred.

We are dumbing down our society to fit the misgivings of those who can't meet mediocre standards.

I am a very disappointed man at the world I am leaving my grandchildren. Does 3rd world ring a bell.

Remember that Dexter Manley graduated from Oklahoma State and was unable to read.
                      True story.
It is a sad existence for plenty of these gifted athletes that did not have the parental support growing up.
When you talk to them it hurts to listen to some of these guys you enjoyed watching play and assumed they were college grads with at least a basic level of intelligence.
The vast majority of them have lost most if not all of their money.
                      It’s hard to see .
