The Jets are allowing him to pretty much run the franchise and call the shots...he has played 5 games for them and has not earned that right.

His pal Hackett kept his job even though the offense has been abysmal the past 2 years under his watch....

My money is on Antonio Pierce.
If AP gets shit canned out there in Las Vegas, he's pretty much done unless he can land a DC job somewhere, he can't go back to the NCAA.

could they? I mean they pay him a fortune every Sunday. I wasn't convinced but I thought there could be a chance that he was gonna have a good season this year. All the legal stuff behind him and coming in healthy and restructuring the contract. He just is anywhere closes to the player his was 5 years ago in Houston. He was great then.

Hackett being able to keep his job tells me all I need to know about who is calling the shots.

No matter what you are paying someone, if they are not getting the job done and arguably playing below a replacement level player in this case, how could you not be thinking about it as an option?

That makes two HC Rodgers fired in the last six years now, Giannis in the NBA only has one HC fired.

What's the more desirable Head Coach gig in the NFL?

Sorry, but you can't be the dutiful father of 7 or 8 kids, an avid golfer, and a kick ass head coach in the NFL all simultaneously.

Saleh is a top tier DC, which is a great spot to be in. Any team that hires him as a HC will be getting a poor man's Todd Bowles.

Out of that group the Jaguars and it is not close.

Panthers owner meddles too much and Jets ownership has been a failure for decades.

Jaguars owner, Khan, has made some bad hires but I do not get the same bad vibes about him as i do with Carolina and NYJ owners.

Agreed, Salah will be a successful D coordinator again at some point.

ya I agree. Its amazing how bad he became so quickly. Kinda like Russel Wilson. Get huge money and they can't play QB anymore.

Great QB's elevate the talent around him.
Montana in SF and Brady in NE were two of the greatest at doing that.

The two biggest NFL recent draft pick failures both play for the NYJ.
Breece Hall was hyped to be the next big thing at running back, so far, he's nothing more than a poor man's Matt Forte.
And Garrett Wilson was supposed to be the second coming of Jerry Rice.
Right now, Wilson isn't even Calvin Ridley.

Rodgers hasn't elevated Hall, Wilson, and even the TE Conklin.
This is the second time I'm going to say this in three days now.
I paid attention to, not watched but paid attention to Rodgers Sunday.
He stands in the pocket most of the time with a "I'm not interested in this game whatsoever" expression on his face.

That's not a Hall of Fame look.

I like Geno, always have, his problem was in the past he was hot headed.

No matter what you did this is the Jest in the end. Even Brady might not of been able to help. The firing is not warranted. The D is not the problem. I'm not saying Salah is a good coach but this is not the time. Won't change a thing. I think in the end Rodgers is playing the same O from 10 or 15 years ago. Him not wanting to change at all it's on him. Just him giving up and how he pouts when things don't go well. Get a hold of yourself man!
