I feel like I grew up with him. Played little league the same time and same ages. Watched him on TV as a kid. RIP.

          What a shame.

He brought back memories of 12 and under baseball and all that was good in life.

If heaven is real, I have a feeling he is taking BP right now.

          Rest in Peace sir.

Sad but disagree it was a shocker.

He had a 6-7 year stint during his MLB career where he was out of the game, homeless, a hard drug addict and eating out of trash cans. My guess is that period of hard drug use took it's toll.

Interested to hear the results of the autopsy. RIP

Heart attack is what I'm hearing.

His old man could rake with the best of them.

That would be my guess. Not sure how long he did hard drugs and was homeless for but it seems like a long period of time and likely did serious damage to his body during that time.

He was a bit older than me. So I remember him.

Was he homeless? damn. There is an old YT vid of Burroughs when he was on Letterman. Sad man had his whole life ahead of him.

Used to watch his daddy play for the Rangers and Braves back in the 70's.
