    Purdue vs UConn Prediction
The stage is set for the NCAA Basketball National Championship. Can the Huskies be stopped? Post your Purdue vs UConn prediction in this thread and let's find some winners.

I was hoping for a little better price, but looking at UConn double result (to win 1st half & game) -140 at BetMGM.

How are you guys betting tonight's game?

That's what I have been thinking for the past 48 hours.
There has been butterflies in my stomach since I woke this morning.

I'm expecting Clingan to seal off Eddy, those two are pretty much mirror images as a player.
If Clingan and Eddy do indeed neutralize each other I expect UConn plays inside out with Spencer shooting the corner threes or Newton with that hard dribble drive to the hoop that he does so well.

For Purdue to win if Eddy doesn't get his then Fletcher Loyer and Lance Jones need to step up.

I realize being a hardcore Connecticut yahoo homer clouds my vision and all, so I'll try to be as objective as possible here.

UConn is deeper than Purdue, Purdue is not a one trick pony in Eddy, they have other options when they have the ball, however UConn plays elite level defense, and UConn has many options with the ball, if you double down on Clingan then UConn can bleed you to death with Spencer's long-range shooting or Newton's play making, and the ancillary players can kill you as well, like Karaban or Castle...

Purdue can win, I'm not saying UConn is a lock, there's no such thing as a lock, just ask the 1954 Cleveland Indians, or the 1990 Reds, I can name 100 other major upsets in the history of sports and sports betting, but you get my gist.

Purdue is a one seed also for a reason, you need to respect that.
Having said all that UConn plays much better defense and I do believe the Huskies win this tonight because of defense.
Both teams can score in volume, that's been proven, but good defense usually beats good offense.

Painter can get to the dance just fine, but he can't win the big games, I have zero confidence in him, like Marv Levy and Jim Kelly's Bills, or Bud Grant's Vikings, they've lost countless number of big games as well, how many times has those loaded Braves teams with Chipper and Smoltz and Maddux, and Glavine lost before actually winning a big game.

To make a long story short, which I am not capable of doing, brevity is not my forte, but there's one intangible that's very important to me, that being trust is a must, and I just don't trust Painter and Purdue, zero confidence, and like MLB if I don't trust certain pitchers I just can't get around to taking serious cash out of wallet and backing them, I totally trust Hurley, like those annoying Valley Girls used to say, "like totally"

I'm confident UConn wins the game, personally I won't lay 3:1 on anything, I'm cautiously optimistic that the Huskies cover the 6.5 handicap.

Purdue hasn't seen a team like UConn all season, they're like the NY Times Sunday crossword puzzle, incredibly difficult to solve.

Before the start of the tournament I bought one ticket for $200. UCONN at +$500.

Today I bought UCONN -6.5 for $230 to win $200 and an UNDER 145.5 ticket for -$220 to win $200.
