*Down 1, you want the highest percentage shot. And you also want a chance at getting fouled. That's a 2-pt shot.
The play they had some success with was the Pick/Roll with Bueckers/Edwards. As she rolls, Paige is very good at reading the play. If the pass is there, she'll pass.
Otherwise, she shoots a driving shot. Put a 3rd player in the corner. If the defense compresses, SHE might have a wide-open 3.
Why design a play to shoot the 3? Maybe Edwards was going to roll to the hoop. But they would have practically run out of time.
Didn't like the play design. Why settle for a 3? Try to score a 2.
