MY own greatest loss in sports betting
Well, it wasn't the greatest loss, I think I always had "small" losses (small = ranging from $100 to $5,000) but I think I've placed once $2,000 or maybe $3,000 on a tennis match against Albert Ramos.

I didn't know much about the players but the favorite had low odds and I thought it was an easy bet.

I remember watching the game in live, how someone from the crowd every point was shouting "Vamos... Ramos"... time and time again.... "Vamos.... Ramos".... and I felt so connected to it.

It made me feel so connected to the bet that I said f**k it and I cashed out the losing bet, placed it on Ramos, and from then kept on betting on Ramos on many other matches, it was a good streak until it was over lol

Overall I don't think I made profits from it, maybe not huge losses but the house edge does kill you, especially if you cashout a large bet, expect the bookie to cut a big chunk.

Still to this day... this "Vamos.... Ramos" echoes in my head....
