NBA postpones Warriors-Jazz game after Golden State assistant coach Dejan Milojevic 'suffered a heart attack' at a Salt Lake City restaurant



The NBA has postponed Wednesday's Golden State Warriors-Utah Jazz game in Salt Lake City following one assistant coach's medical emergency.

Dejan Milojevic, an assistant coach for the Golden State Warriors, was hospitalized in Salt Lake City after suffering a sudden and serious health issue.

'Golden State Warriors Assistant Coach Dejan Milojevic (DAY-hahn mi-lo-yo-vihch) was hospitalized last night in Salt Lake City, Utah, after suffering a medical emergency at a private team dinner,' read a team statement Wednesday morning. 'An update on Milojevic’s status will be provided as appropriate.'

This isn't some arena usher or ticket taker at the turnstile we're talking about here.
We're talking about Coach Hardy's right-hand man.
This is a major team distraction, from what I understand Milojevic is loved by the team.
Also, from what I gather this heart attack is life threating and GSW is totally on board with the postponement.

I read four different reports of this story so far since this morning.
Two of them reported the game was 'cancelled'.

There's a major difference between a postponement and a cancellation.
To postpone something means to delay or reschedule, to cancel something means to terminate all together.

That's just inexcusable journalism and the lack of editing is disturbing coming from so call reputable news sources.
And it's not in this case, seems to me there's a lot of shitty reporting/editing lately.

A couple of weeks ago I was watching a bowl game and the play by play announcer said "that's a pejorative sight" when commenting on an injured player as he laid on the grass in pain.

I even said to myself "do you even know what pejorative even means, that's not even remotely close to the definition as you used it here".

It's one thing to use thousand-dollar words, but before doing so you had best know what you're talking about, if not you're exposing yourself in front of millions for the idiot that you are.

of broadcast and print outlets sloppy. unaware reportage.
Malaprops and grammatical missteps abound offending everyone's sense of propriety.

People have stuff going on in their life everyday. The NBA looks for just about any excuse to not show up for their fans. Sorry about the coach but what about the fans that booked plans for these games well in advance and dropped who knows how much money to "enjoy" this game. They can cry before and after the game, in the mean time do your job. In a few years we will see games canceled because a star players dog died.....of old age.
