Jake, my two cents:

1) Denver -2.5 was a good play early. I know ez to say now.
...Nuggets w/ Jokic have not YET made that big playoff run. Now is as good a time as ever.

2) Not sure what drove the line move to 4.5.
...Suns would seemingly be the team people bet on. Given the big names on their roster.

How could a guy be THAT talented, I mean one of the best offensive weapons in league HISTORY...and feel compelled to join an established team like the Warriors? WTF was that?

Sure, he won there...but everyone knows it was with a loaded roster. Surely this guy had to know that he had to win a title elsewhere to really earn his stripes in this league.

Goes back to the Stephen A Smith commentary. Durant could have joined ANY OTHER team in the league...and it would have held water:
1) Stay in OKC. OK, try to beat the Warriors in the West.
2) Go to San Antonio (who was good back then). OK, challenge the Warriors.
3) Go East. Any of the viable teams like PHI/WAS (his hometown)/MIA.
...Nobody would say a word. Just don't join GoldSt and think you can piggy-back them.

bjb, that's why I think the -2.5 was cheap. Have a nice chunk on DEN -2.5.

They don't have the name-recognition. Jokic (as a foreigner) won't be regarded UNTIL he wins a title. Nuggets -2.5 were cheap (IMHO).
