    Why do we still have separate league awards in baseball
    Now that both leagues have the same rules and every team plays every team in the same season why in the world is there a need for AL and NL awards? I mean do we celebrate the AFC rushing leader? The Western conference scoring champ? No. Eastern Conference rookie of the year? Seems outdated now for sure.

      Tradition but the NFL also with AFC/NFC awards, it just not a lot of media hype as with baseball.
